Building a Culture of Health...That Also Builds Business

Many companies are working on building a culture of health within their businesses. The benefits of wellness programs are well documented as shown in this infographic.

HALO Branded Solutions, a Top 10 distributor in our industry, has taken the initiative to put a focus on this, as Senior Vice President, Terry McGuire shares in this video. With HALO embracing the importance a wellness culture, we put together a SuccessFit4Life! FUN Run/Walk during HALO National Sales Meeting in Nashville. Those who participated loved it!

This activity was a great way to start a productive conference. Any business or association will benefit from adding a fun run to their event. Here’s an informative article on this emerging trend.

HALO Supplier Partners, who also understand the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle supported the event with goodie bag products; SnugZ USA, Hirsch Gift, BIC Graphic, Goldstar, Imagen Brands, and Pro Towels. High end performance T-Shirts were donated by S & S Activewear. DistributorCentral, the technology partner for SuccessFit4Life! printed them with an original design created by Tee Hamilton from CreativeAlchemy

SuccessFit4Life! has been coming together for some time. The heart of the program is encouraging people on their wellness journey…wherever they want to go. It was birthed from my own experience being disabled for most of my life from a motocross racing accident. After finding the courage to have a brutal surgery, I was able to start moving without bone on bone pain.

Years ago, my wife started running and invited me to come to one of the Runners Lane “Fun Runs.” I NEVER saw running as being “FUN.” These people were SO nice and SO encouraging that ultimately, they changed my life. I recall my first night. I walked about a half mile and figured that when I went back, it would be a mile. That was good for me. And it was a significant accomplishment.

As I got moving, I realized that there are many people who are successful who tend to be fit. Success requires a bit of focus and discipline. In the context of SuccessFit4Life! however, success has nothing to do money or position; how fast or how far you go; this is about succeeding in accomplishing the goals YOU define. It’s that simple.

As a publisher and distributor in the promotional products industry, I have a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities the market faces. Many commentaries have been written about our changing marketplace. This piece is not about that. It’s about how anyone can choose to change their life and business.

It’s no secret that there is a big focus on health and wellness these days. Health costs and health challenges that are a part of life affect EVERYONE. Sometimes health issues happen and we don’t understand why. In most cases, however, we can choose to eat better, and be somewhat active, which everyone will agree is good for you. It doesn't’ take much to make few simple changes that will have a positive impact on your life. Sharing this message is at the core of SuccessFit4Life!

While hanging out at the hotel in Nashville before the HALO Sales Meeting, I couldn't help but overhear a conversation between a large group of older women. The discussion was about Fitbit steps. One noted she had done 12,000 steps and another boasted over 13,000. They were challenging each other on steps. This is EXACTLY what the wellness challenge component of SuccessFit4Life! is about! Something happens when you add a friendly competition factor…at any age.

In addition to the SuccessFit4Life! WELLNESS PROGRAM, we have created a model for fundraising SuccessFit4Life! EVENTS. This enables a distributor to work within their community with local businesses to support the worthy cause of their choice.

Suppliers and Distributors have the opportunity to be a part of the life-changing SuccessFit4Life! movement. If you would like to learn more contact us for more information.

Nice!!

I think it's nice that companies are embracing fun activities like this. Others should do the same. I like what you do each year at the PPAI Expo. It's a good way to start the show.
